Con este título, reivindica las mismas oportunidades para las mujeres, y critica los estereotipos de género que ahogan a las mujeres. Beyoncé intercambia en el clip de esta canción su vida y su trabajo con un hombre, y aprovecha para mostrar algunas situaciones en las que la sociedad es más permisiva con los hombres que con las mujeres. Beyoncé, relata en una parte de esta canción, que si se convirtiera en un hombre sería in gran hombre, dado que entendería con seguridad el dolor de una mujer a la que le han roto el corazón.
